Bio
Rice -- Solid walkon who originally came to Rice to compete in track... Moved from defensive line to fullback in the spring... Enters two-a-days as a backup to Andrew Cates at FB. 2004: Redshirt. 2003: Did not play. Other Rice Athletics: Two-year letterman for the Owls[apos] track team in the weight events... Had a best shot put of 48-2¾ during the 2005 indoor season, and threw the discus 141-10 during the 2004 outdoor season.
High School -- 2003 graduate of Shelton High in Dallas... Four-year starter and letterman for coach Chuck Locke at running back, linebacker and defensive end... Helped the Chargers to a 6-4 record and the TAPPS playoffs as a senior... The team MVP and captain... First-team all-district on both offense and defense... Received the Blue and Silver Award for leadership... Also a three-year lettermen in track, winning two TAPPS state titles in the shot and a third in the discus.

Calabria, played basketball at Ohio; Uncle, Chuck Fairbanks Jr., played quarterback at Houston; uncle, Toby Fairbanks, played wide receiver at Michigan State...
