Rice -- Sturdy player who will be a key performer on the Rice defensibe in 2005... Finished spring ball as the starter at rover after playing his first two seasons as a backup cornerback. 2004: Played in nine games with two starts (SMU and Nevada)... CoSIDA academic all-district selection... Academic all-WAC team member... Had 19 tackles (15 primary) as a sophomore... Had his first two career interceptions; the first came in the end zone against Texas, the second was returned 28 yards against Nevada... Also had two pass deflections...
