2019: Tied for second on the Rice staff with 20 appearances… All but one appearance was out of the bullpen… Totaled 36.1 innings in 19 relief appearances to average just under 2.0 IP per call to the pen… Familiar setup role preceded most of the team’s closing opportunities, but he earned saves in Owl wins over Louisiana Tech, Sam Houston State and UTSA… Finished third on the staff with 10.4 strikeouts per 9.0 innings (for players with at least the same number of innings)… Twice tied his career high with five strikeouts, and both were in outings against eventual NCAA Tournament participants Texas A&M and Southern Miss… Maintained a 2.4-to-1 strikeouts-to-walk ratio… Did his best pitching in games played away from Reckling Park, holding opposing hitters to a composite .217 batting average and posting a steady 3.78 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP… Made first career start against (eventual) 36-win team Texas State and posted a career-long of 4.1 innings of work.
2018: Garnered a host of attention for an electric arm he showcased while pitching in the Cape Cod League (Cotuit) over the summer… Posted a 1-1 record and an eye-opening 0.45 ERA with four saves in the prestigious wood bat league… Made 22 appearances for Rice in the collegiate season, all out of the bullpen for the second-highest relief total on the staff… Went 2-2 with a pair of saves… Led the Owls in strikeouts per 9.0 innings (11.7), and there was only one time when he took the mound and did not get at least one strikeout… Fanned a career-high five batters twice, vs. No. 11 ranked TCU and C-USA foe Charlotte… Notched first career save in the home-opener vs. longtime foe Texas State, striking out two in a scoreless inning of work… Earned second save in a tense one-run home win over crosstown rival Houston… Averaged just under 2.0 innings of work for each relief appearance, with a career-long of 4.0 frames against UAB… Earned both wins as Rice rallied past eventual NCAA Tournament participants Samford and Sam Houston State.
2017: Worked his way into three appearances in first season of Division I baseball totaling 1.1 innings... All three appearances were against elite teams that went on to play in the NCAA Tournament - TCU, Stanford and Southeastern Louisiana... Recorded a pair of strikeouts on the road against No. 1 ranked TCU... Played in the California Collegiate League over the summer (Santa Barbara)... Went 1-1 with four saves while maintaining a 3.72 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 19.2 innings for the Foresters.
High School - A 2016 graduate of Cypress Woods High School in Cypress, Texas... Two-year starting pitcher for head coach Kipp Pridgeon...
