2019: Worked his way into six relief appearances in first season of Division I baseball… Some of the opponents faced included Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Arizona and Houston… Fired an eight-pitch scoreless inning of relief, while recording one strikeout, in front of more than 5,500 rowdy fans at Texas A&M… Registered a strikeout in his collegiate debut against Rhode Island on the opening weekend of the season.
A 2018 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball, Texas (just northwest of Houston)… Experienced three-year varsity starter on the mound, but was sidelined during senior year… Coached by Rick Lynch… Went a combined 14-2 in two most-recent prep seasons competing in the competitive TAPPS Division I District 4… Member of the National Honor Society… Chose to attend Rice over five Ivy League schools and the United States Air Force Academy.
