2024: Hit .253 in 31 games (23 starts) in his first season of collegiate action… Saw action in one game in February (pinch-hit appearance vs. LSU) and appeared in only three of the first 22 games before making his first start vs. Tulane in the final game of the series…. Went 0x9 to open his career, but hit .284 in 26 games (21 starts) the rest of the season (21x74)… He collected his first with a double in his first at-bat of his second career start (at Wichita State on 3/28) and followed with his first career home run in his next at-bat… Clinched Rice’s first AAC series win with a walk-off double in the 15th inning vs. UAB on 4/13… Hit .283 and had a .406 on-base percentage during the Owls’ second-half surge that saw them win four conference series.
Prior to Rice: Hit .320 as a senior at Montverde Academy as the Eagles captured the 3A District 9 championship and advanced to the region final before losing to North Broward Prep … Hit .312 with three homers and 31 RBI as a senior and .330 with six homers and 57 RBI in his career… Four-year starter for coach Victor Valencia … Uncle, Luis Rosado, played in 11 games for the New York Mets in two big league appearances (1977 & 1980) and picked up his first hit off Steve Carlton on 9/14/77 … Step-grandfather is two-time AL MVP Juan Gonzalez.
