Bio
2025: 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in his first action for the Owls after working his way back to health… Third on the staff with a .237 opponents’ batting average… Made 14 relief outings and one start… Gave up a run in one inning of work vs. Tennessee at the Astros Foundation College Classic in his collegiate debut and then did not allow an earned run in his next 11.1 innings (four appearances)… Worked 4.1 scoreless against Yale on 3/14 and followed that with five shutout innings and a career-best eight strikeouts vs. HCU on 3/14… Gave up two home runs in two innings at FAU on 3/21 but none in his other 19… Earned his first career win with a scoreless inning at Sam Houston on 4/1… Made his first career start on 4/8 15 vs. Houston and took the loss… 0-1 with a 2.08 ERA in in eight games at Reckling Park.

2023: Missed the season due to an injury.
Prior to Rice: Posted a 9-1 record with a 1.32 ERA and 1.01 WHIP while fanning 104 in 63.2 innings to lead Behlen Jesuit Prep to the 16-5A district title as a senior for coach Jerry Albert.. Three-year starter for the Wolverines… Older brother Nick is a sophomore catcher at St. Thomas in Miami… Grandfather (Ernest Desperito) played baseball and football at Fordham and played in the Phillies organization.
