2022: Led the staff in starts (12), innings (63.2) and strikeouts (71) in his first season with the Owls… Ranked 12th in C-USA in strikeouts and his 23 strikeouts looking were tied for fourth… Also ranked 12th in strikeouts in conference games (49) while his 19 Ks looking in C-USA games was third… 71 strikeouts are a career-high and were more than his combined total from 2019-21 at Pepperdine while 12 starts matched his total over the same span… Innings total was 6.1 less than his total in his Freshman All-American season with the Waves in 2018… Made the first 10 Friday starts for the Owls before missing a turn… 10 Friday starts were the most at Rice since Matt Canterino started all 15 Friday games in 2019… Returned to the rotation in the finale vs. MTSU and the middle game vs. FIU to end the year… Worked a team-leading seven innings twice, first in a 1-0 loss at then #6 Southern Miss on 4/22 (7,5,1,1,0,4), becoming the first C-USA pitcher to work seven innings and hold Golden Eagles to only one run...
