2019: Provided his biggest contributions yet to the program… Worked his way into 23 starts and played in 30 games overall… Made 14 starts as the designated hitter and had nine in the outfield, including six in right field and three in left… First career hit was about as memorable as it gets, a big grand slam home run at Reckling Park in his first start of the season against longtime foe Prairie View (Feb. 27)… Finished that win over Prairie View going 3-for-6 with a walk, two runs scored and five RBI… Three of his first six hits were for extra bases… Hit a rocket home run shot off the left field façade at Minute Maid Park in the victory over eventual NCAA participant Baylor… Later in the year hit an inside-the-park home run, as well as a double, on the road at Conference USA foe Western Kentucky… Recorded five multi-hit games… Reached base in six-straight games during one stretch… Proved to have a knack for getting on base when leading off an inning, 8-of-19 times (.421)… Went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk in four appearances as a pinch hitter… Played in three games as a defensive sub in the outfield, including the C-USA Tournament.
2018: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Played in a total of seven games with one start as the designated hitter on the road at national power Stanford… Had a memorable first game by making a contribution in the home opener vs. Texas State – came off the bench as a substitute DH in the bottom of the eighth inning with the Owls holding a narrow 7-6 lead and proceeded to draw a walk and score a welcome insurance run for an 8-6 victory, all his collegiate debut… Pinch-hit on five more occasions to tie for the Rice team lead on the season… Reached on a fielder’s choice and later scored a run in the series finale vs. Florida Atlantic… Batted for slugger Addison Moss in the series-opener vs. Charlotte, and went on to play in the field for the first time where he recorded a defensive put out in right field… Played summer ball in the Great Lakes League (St. Clair). Saw a lot of action at third base during the 2017 fall training program... Was electric in 2017 summer ball playing in both the St. Louis Metro (Browns) and Ohio Valley Collegiate League (Henderson Flash)... Not on the roster in spring 2017, and did not see game action in first season with the Owls in the spring 2016.
