Graduated from The John Cooper School (The Woodlands, Texas) where he competed for the Dragons under coach George Dohner...ran both cross country and track...during his senior year, set a PR in the 5k of 16:34 and 10:09 in the 3200...PR's in track of 4:35.92 (1600m), 2:04.33 (800m), 10:10.63 (3200m), and 53.0 (400m)...also played basketball for coaches Matthew Wilson and Eric Larkins, averaging eight points and seven rebounds per game as a starter...graduated with a 4.14 GPA (4.0).
