Post Meet Reaction - Head Coach Jon Warren
"Juan gets the highlight of the day, finishing second as a freshman in his conference debut. He had two throws of 56 meters, which was awesome to see as he threw into squirrely winds. Anytime you have a freshman on the podium it is just fantastic. We also had a whole lot of guys who really competed well. The sprints did really well. Christian getting fourth in the hurdles was stunning. Really great job by him today. Drayden got sixth in the 100m. 4x100 and 4x400 both getting fifth was incredible. The 4x400 field was fantastic, and the quality of the conference is amazing. It's the best outside of the powers. Every event is just amazing to watch. We had Evan scoring fifth in a great field in the 800m, and Elliot and Jackson went fifth and sixth in the 1500m. Overall, I'm really proud of the effort given by this group across a wide variety of events. Now, we get to look forward to an exciting week of competition at the NCAA West Prelims, where we will send six guys competing in the postseason. We will have Juan Marais (discus), Gus Gannon (3000m steeplechase), Cal Abdulky (hammer throw), and Augustus Henry, Aryan Padaruth and Jack Greaves (javelin). Looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish in College Station."
