Rice Shines in Golden State

AZUSA – The Rice men's track and field team had a tremendous weekend against some of the top competition in the nation at this weekend's meets at the Bryan Clay, Long Beach and Tom Tellez Invites.
The distance crew had a great weekend in Azusa, running against hundreds of competitors. Jordan Edmondson led the way, finishing in seventh place in the 800m with a tremendous 1:49.31 showing.
Jackson Moran was ninth in the 1500m, while Andrew Murray finished in 17th for the steeplechase. Ben Tijerina finished in 21st for the 10,000m.
Over in Long Beach, Juan Marais and Jack Greaves had a fifth-place showing in the discus and javelin. Sultan Bakare finished seventh in the shot put.
Drayden Dickmann led the sprinters over at UH, finished second in the 100m.
