Men’s T&F Hosts Duckett Twilight Meet

HOUSTON – The Rice men's track and field team is set for the final home meet of the season with the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet slated for Saturday at the Wendel D. Ley Track.
Several Owls with some of the top times and marks in the American Conference will compete this weekend in front of the home crowd.
In the 800m, Jordan Edmondson sits with the second fastest time in the conference (1:49.31), while Marcus Gaitan is fourth in the American (1:50.13).
In his freshman season, Edward Bocock looks to improve his sixth-best time in the American in the 400m hurdles.
Andrew Murray looks to build off a personal-best time a week ago in the 3000m steeplechase, with his time of 8:53.50 sitting third in the conference.
Sultan Bakare enters leading the conference in the shot put, while also sitting second for the hammer throw. Daniel Sowell is slotted fourth in the hammer and seventh in the shot put.
Conference leader Jack Greaves will compete this weekend, with a personal best 74.22m throw earlier this season.
Juan Marais also looks to build on a personal best effort a week ago with a 58.49m throw in the discus, ranking second in the American.
