Moran Named CSC Academic All-District

HOUSTON – Rice men's track & field athlete Jackson Moran was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Moran, a junior from Phoenix, Ariz., holds a 3.90 GPA, double majoring in political science and history. He is a two-time CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Academic Medal honoree and was named an AAC All-Academic last season. At the 2025 AAC Outdoor Championships, Moran finished sixth in the 1500m. He added fifth-place showings in the mile and DMR at the AAC indoor meet. Moran was 48th at the NCAA South Central XC Regional last season and secured a top-50 finish at the AAC Championships, finishing 46th.
To earn a spot on the CSC Academic All-District team, athletes must hold a 3.5 GPA (sophomores and up) and also rank in the top 50 of their region for track and field or cross country.
