2007: Made his only career start in the season finale against Tulsa....Made his season debut at Baylor... also saw action against Texas.
2006: Entered fall camp as a backup at both center and tight end, but switched to #40 and lined up at fullback in some goal line situations... Provided the lead block on Quinton Smith[apos]s short plunge for a score against Houston...Also saw playing time against Army.
2005: Played in six games in a reserve role to earn his first letter.
2004: Played in three games as backup center but did not letter.
2003: Redshirt.
High School -- 2003 graduate of Robert E. Lee High in Tyler... All-District 11-5A and honorable mention all-East Texas selection as a lineman... Coached by Mike Owens... Helped the Red Raiders to a 10-4 record and the Class 5A Division I state semifinals as a senior in 2002... Improved as a player by routinely facing quality competition (the Tyler-Longview area ranked third in the state for producing Division I signees according to Texas Football)... Led the team to an 8-4 record and 5A regional finals as a junior in 2001... Also won academic all-district honors... Active in mission work for his church, and president of the youth council in his church youth group.
