Owls Open Indoor Season in College Station

COLLEGE STATION – The Rice men's track and field team opens the 2026 indoor track and field season this weekend at Texas A&M's Ted Nelson Invite.
The Owls return several All-Conference honorees this season, including Cal Abdulky in the weight throw and Christian Edgar in the 60m hurdles.
Conference meet scorers including Daniel Sowell, Patrick Elizondo and Jackson Moran are all set for their season debuts this weekend.
Standout freshmen Edward Bocock, Vincent Nnanna and Chizitere Okolie will all make their collegiate debuts this weekend.
Rice was selected sixth out of the nine teams in the 2026 American Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
