
Golf Closes Fall Slate at Steelwood Collegiate Invitational

The Owls tee off at 8:30 a.m.
HOUSTON — Rice closes the fall portion of its 2018-19 schedule when it travels to Loxley, Ala., for the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational, played Oct. 27-28 and hosted by South Alabama. The tournament will be played at the par-72, 7,096-yard Steelwood Country Club.

Joining Rice in the field are seventh-ranked Wake Forest, Indiana, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Alabama, Richmond, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Wofford.

For Saturday's first and second rounds, the Owls will tee off from holes No. 4-7 beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT. Rice will compete in groups with student-athletes from Kennesaw State and Wofford. Sunday's tee times and pairings will depend on results after the previous round.

Following the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational, the Owls will take a break for the winter. Rice begins its spring slate Feb. 17-19 when it co-hosts the All-American Intercollegiate.
