Owls Win Fourth Straight

The Rice women's tennis team prepared for a big weekend of competition by sweeping past Prairie View 6-0 at Hess Tennis Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. The win was the Owls fourth straight and ran their season record to 7-1.
The Owls only lost six games on the day, sweeping the two doubles matches by identical 8-0 scores. Head coach Elizabeth Schmidt held No. 1 and No. 2 singles players Julie Chao and Ana Guzman out of the action, but the Owls still swept all five of the singles matches that were held.
The Owls will head to Lubbock the weekend to meet Arizona and Texas Tech this weekend.
