Outdoor: First year throwing the javelin, competing at 10 meets...earned NCAA All-American Honorable Mention honors by placing 20th in the javelin at the NCAA Championships...placed sixth in the javelin at the NCAA West Prelims...established a season-best mark throw of 71.41m (234-3) on his final throw at the C-USA Championships to earn second place and a silver medal...won his first collegiate javelin competition in the season opener at the Longhorn Invitational...also won the Rice Invitational three days later...earned seven top-three finishes.
