2018
Moved to wide receiver during fall but did not see action... Missed spring drills while recovering from an injury.
2017
Opened the year as the starter, becoming the first redshirt freshman to start at the season at quarterback since Taylor McHargue in 2010... Limited to six starts due to injuries and was limited in spring practice while recovering from offseason surgery... Threw for 500 yards, hitting on 37 of 72 passes, three of them for touchdowns... Ran for 172 yards on 42 carries and three touchdowns to finish second on the squad in total offense (112 per game)... Each of his three TD passes were 50 yards or longer to Aaron Cephus (52 at UTEP, 51 vs. LA Tech and 50 at UTSA)... Earned his first win as a starting quarterback at UTEP... Reached career bests in passing yards (187), total offense (255) and rushing touchdowns (2) vs. LA Tech but was injured early vs. UAB the following week and missed the remainder of the year.
2016
Redshirted in the fall and then led the Owls with 178 total yards and three touchdowns in the Spring Game... He was three-of-five for 95 yards while connecting on touchdowns passes to Robby Wells III and Aaron Cephus. He also rushed five times for 83 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown.
