Gained an extra year of eligibility from the NCAA as a medical hardship and made the most of the opportunity... Led the Owls in rushing (771 yards), scoring (60 points) total touchdowns (10) and rushing touchdowns (8) in his first year as a starter… Joined his twin brother Austin in leading the Owls in rushing in back-to-back seasons, the first to do so at Rice and the first at the FBS level since Troy and Darren Davis of Iowa State in 1996-97… Came into the year with 260 career yards rushing and no touchdowns…Topped 100 yards in five of his seven conference games, the most by an Owl since joining C-USA and the most by an Owl in any conference since Ed Bailey had five in the WAC in 2004… Last Owl to have five rushing games of 100 or more in a season was Charles Ross in 2013… Led C-USA with a 6.6 yards per carry average in conference games, sixth in rushing (84.3 per game) and tied for sixth in scoring (6.0)… In all games, ranked seventh in C-USA with 5.5 points per game and 10th with 70.1 yards per game at the end of the regular season… Cemented Owls first win of the year with a 24-yard run on 3rd & 11 at Middle Tennessee with just over two minutes left in the game and the final win of the year at UTEP with a 64-yard run to set up the Owls final score… Former HS quarterback completed his first career collegiate pass vs. North Texas for a 27-yard gain to Jordan Myers to the UNT one yard line and covered the final yard on the next play himself.
2018
Matched his career-high with 72 yards rushing on a career-high 23 carries at LSU... Rushed for 143 in the last three games on 44 carries. Had only 21 carries in his career prior to the last two weeks... Had only 21 carries in his career prior to the last two weeks... Started alongside twin brother Austin Walter at LA Tech and rushed for 72 yards on 17 carries at LA Tech... Combined with his brother Austin to total 173 all-purpose yards... Caught the second pass of his career for a 37-yard gain vs. UTEP... Ripped off a 26-yard run in the game’s final minute to set up Jack Fox’s game winning field goal vs. Prairie View... Entered the game in relieve of twin brother Austin, who was battling cramps... Rush was the second of his career and marked his return to action after missing the last 10 games of 2017 with an injury.
2017
Saw hopes for a productive junior year come to an early end after suffering an injury in the second game of the year… Was full recovered and active during spring drills, rushing 17 times for 54 yards in the spring game.…Carried the ball once for a gain of six yards at UTEP before being injured.
2016
Saw action in 10 games, mostly on special teams... Returned three kickoffs for 56 yards at Southern Miss.
2015
Saw action in five games as a reserve.

Joins his twin brother Austin at Rice after dominating District 19-4A over the last three years... District 19-4A MVP while playing quarterback at Crosby for coach Jeff Riordan... Ranked by Dave Campbell's Texas Football as the No. 4 athlete in its postseason edition... Threw for 2,301 yards and 31 touchdowns and ran for 1,996 and 10 more scores... Finished his career with 6,100 yards passing and 62 touchdowns and ran for 2,778 and 26 more scores... A member of Dave Campbell's Texas Football's Texas Top 300 and the Houston Chronicle Top 100 as an athlete.
