2020: Appeared in seven of the team’s 16 games with four starts… Started each of the final two games of the season in centerfield before the collegiate season was canceled… Drew three walks and was twice hit by a pitch for a .348 on-base average… Finished the year with three base hits in 18 at bats (.167)... Came off the bench as a defensive replacement in centerfield on the road at Texas Tech and ended up getting two base hits, scoring a pair of runs and stealing a base against the nationally-ranked Red Raiders… Delivered a pinch-hit single against Louisiana.
2019: Improved in second season with the program, batting 56 points higher as a sophomore than he did as a true freshman… Played in 45 of the team’s 59 games and worked his way into 38 starts… Made 30 starts in left field, seven in center and one in right… Started in centerfield on opening day… Usually batted sixth or seventh in the lineup (a combined 28 times), but was used at as many as seven different spots in the order – the most of any Owl… Batted leadoff in the C-USA series finale at Charlotte… Reached base at a .379 pace when leading off an inning (11-of-29)… Finished third on the team with 30 walks, which helped him register the squad’s fifth-best on-base percentage (.382)… Twice drew a career-high three walks in a game… Hit .279 in conference-only games, and batted a team-leading (and curious) .288 in games played away from Reckling Park… Best outing was a two-double, grand slam game on the road at Old Dominion to drive in a career-high seven RBI to tie for second highest total by an Owl all season long… Went a combined 6-for-12 with a grand slam, four doubles, nine RBI, three walks and two runs scored in that series against the ODU Monarchs… Collected two or more hits in a game six times… Longest hitting streak of the season was six games and reached base in seven-straight during one stretch… Threw-out runners trying to advance on the bases a total of four times, including once at home plate twice at second base... Twice entered a game as a pinch-runner, but was the only one of four Owls in that role to score a run.
2018: Appeared in 50 games, and worked his way into 35 starts, in first season of Division I baseball… Made 29 starts in left field and six in right… Started in left on opening day against eventual Southern Conference champion Samford and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in his first collegiate at bat… Led the team in sacrifice bunts (7), the most by an Owl in a single season in two years… One of only two Rice players to execute two sac bunts in one game… Though only ninth on the team in at bats for the season (110), he was fourth on the squad in coming to bat with the bases loaded (nine times) where he stepped-up to deliver a base hit three times (.333)… Collected a career-high three hits and three RBI in a win over Columbia… Registered two hits, including a double, on the road at Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee… Each of his extra base hits were in the second half of the season… Shared the team lead with five pinch hitting appearances (and remained in the game as a defensive sub in the outfield each time)… Recorded five defensive assists from the outfield by throwing-out runners on the bases, including once at second, once at third, and three times at home plate… Played summer ball in the Texas Collegiate League (Victoria).
