2020: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Played in 15 of the team’s 16 games (all starts)… Made 13 starts in right field and two at first base… Was the Owls hottest hitter, whose season batting average had just made a dramatic 72-point improvement, when the collegiate season ended… Was looking to take a four-game 8-for-19 hitting pace (.421) into C-USA league play when all remaining games were canceled… Shared the team lead with six multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit games vs. Missouri State and Texas Tech… Reached base at a .357 pace (5-for-14) when leading off an inning... Recorded five straight-games of reaching base to close out the year.
2019: One of only two Owls to start all 59 games… Started 42 times in right field, ten times at first base and seven times at third (when Braden Comeaux was sidelined)… Showed versatility by playing two different defensive positions in a game a team-high 13 times… Usually batted second in the order (47 times), but also hit fifth or sixth a total of ten times… Led the team with 74 base hits to tie for the seventh-highest total in Conference USA (after the conclusion of the league Tournament)… Also led C-USA in at bats (251) and was second in the league in total plate appearances (280) prior to NCAA postseason play… Finished third on the team in runs scored (46) and tied for third in doubles (12)… Placed fourth on the squad in RBI (34), total bases (95) and walks (25)… Hit safely in a team-best nine straight games during one stretch… Reached base in a total of 15 consecutive games, the squad’s second-longest streak all year… Collected two or more hits in a game a team-best 23 times, including a career-high five hits against both Charlotte and Prairie View... One of only two Owls to register five hits in a game, only he did it twice… Helped carry the squad in the first third of the season by maintaining an eye-opening .365 batting average as of mid-March, a mark that was a full 27 points higher than his next nearest teammate... Closed out the year going a team-best 8-for-23 (.348) with a home run, three doubles (.609 SLG%) and five runs scored over the final six games… After hitting a home run at Marshall in the final C-USA series of the regular season, the Herd walked him three times the following week in the elimination game at the C-USA Tournament… Twice knocked two doubles in game to tie a career high… Recorded 17 at bats with a runner on third base and less than two outs, and drove-in that teammate a total of 11 times (.647)… Batted .400 with runners in scoring position (30-of-75)… Drove in two or runs in a game seven different times… Reached base at .319 pace when leading off an inning… Played error-free in the outfield in 76 total chances… Made only two errors in 77 total chances at first base, where he also had a role in completing nine double plays.
2018: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Garnered more starts (52) and played in all 59 games in second season with the program… Each of the 52 starts were in right field… Usually batted seventh or eighth in the order (33 times)… Played in five games as a pinch-hitter, tied for the most of any Owl on the team... Came off the bench and lined a pinch-hit double, and then scored, against C-USA foe Charlotte… Hit .247 overall with a .318 on-base percentage... Batted .278 in conference games… Reached base at a .333 pace when leading off an inning... Collected two or more hits in a game 15 times, including a three hits against Columbia to tie a career high... Knocked a pair of doubles in a C-USA game against Old Dominion... Hit safely in ten-consecutive games during one stretch, the fourth-longest streak on the team all year… Stole a career-high two bases in a road conference game at Southern Miss… Finished third on the team with four sacrifice bunts… Assisted on throwing-out three runners on the bases from defensive spot in right field.
2017: Worked his way into 39 games played with 28 starts as a true freshman... Started at second base on Opening Day on the road against nationally-ranked Texas... Went on to make a total of 10 starts at second base where he hit .324... Made 11 starts in left field and seven as the designated hitter, primarily against right-handed pitchers... Batted leadoff 13 times... Reached base at a .306 pace when leading off an inning... Played in nine games as a pinch-hitter, the most of any Owl on the team... Hit .252 overall with a .328 on-base percentage... Collected two or more hits in a game seven times, including a career-high three hits twice (against eventual NCAA Tournament participants Houston on the road and vs. Southeastern Louisiana)... Knocked a pair of doubles to drive-in a career-high four runs as part of the 3-for-5 day against the SELA Lions... Threw out a baserunner at home plate from defensive spot in left field vs. Louisiana Tech... Turned or started five of the team's nine double plays in his 10-games at second base... Appeared one time as a pinch-runner, in the second game of the C-USA series vs. Middle Tennessee (for Dominic DiCaprio) where he scored the Owls' lone run... Played in the Perfect Game Collegiate League (Albany) over the summer, batting .293 with 41 hits, 29 runs scored, 19 RBI, and 12 doubles over 37 games played.
High School - A 2016 graduate of Keller High School in Keller, Texas... Three-year starter in the outfield, and four-year varsity letterman, for head coach Rob Stramp... Helped lead the baseball team to a 31-10-2 record and to the Region I semifinals of the 6A state tournament as a senior... Concluded four-year prep career with a .312 batting average... Two-time first team District 5-6A honoree (recently ranked as the fourth-toughest baseball district in the nation by MaxPreps)... Honorable Mention All-American selection by Perfect Game, and one of the publication's nationally-ranked outfielders... Selected to the South Top-Prospect Team in 2015 and played in the USA Baseball 17U National Team Identification Series... Hit .400 in Keller's 13-game playoff run to lead the squad to the 6A Regional I Final as a sophomore in 2014... Earned the AP Scholar Award... Ranked in the Top 5 percent of his class with a 4.05 grade point average.
