HOUSTON – The Rice men's track and field team heads to the Cameron Burrell Invite at UH and the Texas A&M Alumni Muster this weekend for the team's last weekend of competition before the conference championship.
Jack Greaves will take the field in the javelin over at UH, already boasting the top mark in the conference. Right behind in second, Ty Hampton will throw at A&M.
Sultan Bakare, who sits in first for the shot put and second for the hammer throw, will be back in action for both events.
Juan Marais enters the weekend seeded in second for the discus, while Patrick Elizondo is slotted seventh in the high jump.
Over on the track, Andrew Murray holds the third-best time for the American Conference in the steeplechase.
Jordan Edmondson (third) and Marcus Gaitan (sixth) both look to improve their marks in the 800m.
