
Zou Tied for Fourth at All-American Intercollegiate

HUMBLE, Texas — Freshman Daniel Zou is tied for fourth-place at -4 heading into the final round of the All-American Intercollegiate, played at the Golf Club of Houston.
Zou began the day firing a 68 before closing with a 72. He now has 17 rounds of par or better and eight rounds in the 60's this year.
Senior Raghav Chugh is tied for 22nd-place at +1. He began the day firing a 69 before carding a 76. The 69 is his sixth round of par or better this year and the 41st of his career. It is also his second round in the 60's this season, and the 17th of his career, setting a new Rice record for most career rounds in the 60's.
Sophomore Reggie Zhu posted rounds of 73-74 to sit at +3 in a tie for 36th-place. Redshirt sophomore Davis Byrd is tied for 48th-place at +5 after rounds of 73-76, and junior Lukas Boandl is at +9 after carding rounds of 76-77 to sit in a 65th-place tie.
Rice is in seventh-place at +5. The Owls got off to a strong start with a first round 283. However, they followed it with a 298.
In the Individual Tournament, graduate Blake Benson is tied for eighth-place at +3 after carding rounds of 75-72, his career-high sixth round of par or better this year and the 14th of his career.
Graduate Nicholas Li posted rounds of 75-73 to sit at +4 in 10th-place. Sophomore Braeden Hoyt and freshman William Johnson are tied for 18th-place at +8. Hoyt went 77-75, while Johnson shot 75-77. Sophomore Jaivir Pande closed out the scoring at +10, carding consecutive 77's to tie for 30th-place.
Houston leads the team competition at -21, 10 strokes in front of Troy. UH's Chi Chun Chen is -9, three strokes in front of teammate Jacob Brow. UNLV's Ben Sawaia and Lamar's Filip Widepalm are tied for the individual tournament lead at -4, two strokes ahead of Sam Houston's Ethan Dufresne.
