In Brief: Rice opens a two-match homestand by hosting Tulane at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Saturday. The match was moved back to a 2 p.m. start due to travel difficulties for Tulane.

The Green Wave: Tulane comes to Houston with a 1-3 record after dropping its last three contents. The Green Wave opened the season with a win over Furman at home and has lost matchups with SEC foes Mississippi State, Ole Miss and LSU. They have won nine of 17 matches since 1992 and have taken the lead in the series thanks to wins in the last five matches. Tulane took a 6-1 win last year in New Orleans and has won the last two at GRBTC. Rice's last win in the series was a 4-3 win in 2016.
GRBTC: Rice is 74-34 in dual action since moving into their current home in the fall of 2014. They are 9-7 in C-USA play and 6-12 all-time against ranked opponents.
