RICE
2007: Whataburger College Classic Tournament MVP... Increased production for the third-straight year and saved his best for the Owls[apos] national postseason run... Hit .364 (8-for-22) with a .500 on-base percentage in nine NCAA Tournament games... Had three hits, including a pair of doubles, with four RBI and a sacrifice bunt in three games at the College World Series... Was one of the heroes of the opening game of the Super Regional against Texas A&M... Led off the bottom of the ninth against the Aggies with a single and scored the tying run to force extra innings, then delivered the game-winning hit with two out in the 10th... Postseason flurry started at the C-USA Tournament where he hit .389 (7-for-18) with a home run and two doubles for a .667 slugging percentage... Drove in five runs in the C-USA Tournament[apos]s opening round game against UCF... Played in 64 of the team[apos]s 70 games with 60 starts (58 in left and two in right)...
