2023: Joined the Owls in January as a grad transfer and made the seamless transition from D-3 Marietta College… Led C-USA by handling 501 chances without an error in 2023 and has only one error in his last 1398 chances between Rice and Marietta College … The last Owl to lead the conference in total chances while not committing an error was catcher Craig Manuel in 2012 (443)… Led the Owls with 56 starts and third with 57 hits, one behind co-leaders Pierce Gallo and Jack Riedel… Tied for second with 12 multi-hit games and for the single-game high with four hits vs. Prairie View on 51/6… Second on the team with a .323 average at night (30x93)… Tied for the team lead with a .500 average vs. LA Tech (4x8) and a .400 mark vs. Texas A&M (4x10)… Drove in nine RBI and hit three homers in his last 11 games... Slammed the first home run off UTSA's Simon Miller in 2023 on 5/16 after 53 innings this season... Prior to Rice: Four-year standout at DIII Marietta College (Marietta, Ohio) who earned ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All- Mideast Region first-team honors and D3baseball.com All- Mideast Region third-team accolades as a senior in addition to winning his second consecutive ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Gold Glove at first base… Slashed .408/.496/.597 with seven homers and 61 RBI to help lead the Pioneers to their first Super Regional and DIII World Series appearance… Named to the All-Regional team as Marietta advanced to its first Super Regional… Hit .382 with a pair of homers and 12 RBI in eight games in the NCAA DIII Championship… Two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection in his two years as a starter… Charged with only one error in 868 chances in his last two seasons (.9988) and six in 1033 career chances (.995)… ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com Second Team All-Mideast Region pick as a junior… NCBWA National Hitter of the Week (5/19/21) after hitting .516 (14-for-27) with 19 RBI, eight runs, three doubles, and two homers over six games… First Team All-Greater Catholic League at Badin Ohio) HS as a senior in 2018.
