Owls Ready for Victor Lopez Classic

HOUSTON – The Rice men's track and field team is set for their first home meet of the season with the 43rd annual Victor Lopez Classic, with the collegiate portion of the meet running Friday through Saturday.
Several athletes are set to make their season debuts, while others look to build upon a successful first week of action last week.
The 2024 American javelin champion and Second Team All-American, Ty Hampton, is set to make his return to action this weekend.
Hampton with be joined by another Second Team All-American honoree from last year, Jack Greaves, who will also make his season debut.
On the distance side, Andrew Murray and Jackson Moran will both make their returns to the track in various events.
Drayden Dickmann will have his first showing of the year after a sixth-place showing last time out in the 100m at the American Outdoor Championships.
