HOUSTON — The No. 55 Rice women's tennis team will travel to Sam Houston on Saturday to face the Bearkats at the Chuck & Wanda Beckner Tennis Center.
The Owls capped their home stretch at the GRBTC with a 4-0 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last Thursday, maintaining their undefeated home record this season.
Rice has swept Sam Houston 10 times, including the last four meetings. Their previous matchup ended in a 7-0 victory in Huntsville on Jan. 18 in 2025.
Four Owls have clinched matches this season. Selvaraj leads the team with three, while Uma Bakaityte, Francesca Maguina and Ratkovic have accounted for the remaining three.
The doubles team of Darya Schwartzman and Bakaityte is ranked 59th in the latest ITA poll and has a season record of 6-4.
