HOUSTON – The Rice Owls men's track & field team is set to host the team's final home meet of the season on Saturday for the 21^st annual J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet. The competition will begin at 10 a.m. with the men's discus.

Tickets for this year's meet will be sold at the entrance gate and will be cashless. Parking will be in West Lot 4.

In total, the Owls will have 30 athletes competing in 16 events. Colleges competing this weekend along with Rice are: Blinn College, Dallas Baptist, East Texas A&M, Emporia State, Hill College, Houston, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Jacksonville College, Lamar, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, Our Lady of the Lake, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M, TAMU-Kingsville, Texas Southern, UTRGV, UT-Tyler and Victoria College.

Last time out, Gus Gannon broke a 37-year school record at the Bryan Clay Invite in the 3000m steeplechase, previously held by Alfredo Gomez. Gannon's time of 8:43.02 was good for sixth in the race, with the top five finishers all breaking the stadium record.

Andrew Murray (8:56.57) also cracked the top 10 in the steeplechase, surpassing head coach Jon Warren's time (8:56.7) by .13 of a second.

Ben Tijerina finished in 11^th in the 10000m Open with a personal best time of 29:51.44, marking the sixth-best time in program history.

In the 1500m Invite, Elliot Metcalf cracked the top 10 lists with a time of 3:45.25, moving into ninth all-time at Rice.
