Reckling Park: Houston pulled away with five runs in the third inning and went on to complete a sweep of the Silver Glove Series with a 15-3 win on Tuesday night.

How it Happened: The Cougars struck immediately with a run in the first off of Marco Fuentes, but reliever Austin Eppley came on with the bases loaded and none out and retired the next three in order. Houston added two in the second before the Owls broke through on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second. Jacob Devenny picked up the Owls' first hit of the game with a double to right center with two outs. Hiram Bocachica followed with a bunt single up the first base line and moved to second on a throwing error which allowed Devenny to score. After Houston's five-run third, Rice inched back with runs in the fourth and fifth. Bocachica singled with one out and moved to second on a walk by Graiden West with two outs. Bocachica and pinch runner Cole Green moved up 90 feet with stolen bases and Colin Robson loaded the bases with a walk. Bocachica then scored, and Green and Robson moved up a base on a wild pitch, and a walk to Blaine Brown loaded the bases before the Cougars ended the threat with a strikeout. Treyton Rank tallied the Owls' final run of the night with a solo home run in the fifth.

Up Next: Rice will be on the road for the remainder of April, with a pair of AAC weekend series. The Owls will face Memphis in a three-game set that runs Thursday through Saturday due to the Easter holiday and will be on the road at UAB, April 25-27. They return to Reckling Park on May 2 to open a three-game series with Charlotte.

Rice dropped to 62-40 in the Silver Glove series.
Micah Davis worked a scoreless eighth inning and needed just eight pitches to record a pair of strikeouts.
Rank's home run was his second of the year, both coming in the last four games and matches his career high set last year.
Blaine Brown was 1x3 in addition to his walk and extended his hitting streak to seven games, one shy of his career high.
Bocachica stole a pair of bases to move into the team lead with 10 and he scored a run for the ninth time in the last ten games.
