2025: Played in 44 games (35 starts) and hit .240 as a redshirt freshman… Third on the team with seven steals (in eight attempts)… Became a fixture in centerfield over the last half of the season, hitting .255 with a team best 11 runs in the last 15 games and proving to be one of the Owls’ most effective bunters, collecting six hits in eight attempts over the last month and also leading the team with six sacrifices, the most by an Owl since 2018 (7, Dominic Cox)… Was in the starting lineup on Opening Day vs. Villanova in the opener of the Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge in Ponce, Puerto Rico and was 1x4 and scored the second of the Owls’ four runs in the seventh as they took their only lead of the game… Was 2x2 for his first career multi-hit game and scored twice vs. Texas Southern on 3/26… Collected a season-best three hits (including two doubles), walked twice and scored a season-best three runs to help the Owls win the series finale at UAB… Stole two bases against ECU on 3/29 and at Memphis on 4/19… First career home run came on the first pitch of the game vs. Wichita State on 5/9… Leadoff homer started a season-best, five-game hitting streak (5/9-15)… Hit .269 at night (14xs52).
Prior to Rice
Transferred to Rice in January of 2024 after spending the fall semester at Duke and received a redshirt… Played for the Peninsula Oilers in the Alaska Baseball League in the summer of 2024 and was named to the All-ABL team and Silver Slugger after slashing .308/.409/.466, leading the league with 24 RBI… Tied for second with four homers and finished fifth with a .308 average … All-District 4-6A selection as a senior for coach Larry Vucan at Southlake Carroll and a two-year starter in the outfield for the Dragons who captured the 2022 Texas 6A state title… Hit .338 as a senior and had a .448 OBP… 2022 and 2023 Rawlings and Perfect Game All-American; Rated Top 20 Outfielder in Texas and a National Top 500 Overall Prospect in 2023 by Perfect Game… National Honor Society… Young Men’s Service League
