HOUSTON - The 65th-ranked Rice Owls men's tennis team will take on the 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies on Tuesday evening at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station. It will be the first time the two squads have met since the Aggies defeated the Owls in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Rice carries a 10-4 record into the match after going 3-0 in the previous week. Rice defeated Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (4-0), UT Arlington (4-2), and Abilene Christian (4-1) in the span of three days. Texas A&M brings a 10-5 record into the match, taking down Auburn and 24th-ranked Florida at home in the previous week's action.
Texas A&M holds the advantage in the all-time series at 29-5, and has won 11-straight matches in the series. Rice's last win in College Station was also the Owls' last win in the series, knocking off the Aggies 4-3 in College Station back in 2009.
