COLLEGE STATION – The Rice Owls men's track & field team continues the indoor season this weekend at Texas A&M's Charlie Thomas Invite. The two-day meet will open at 11:00 a.m. on Friday for the men's competition, beginning with the heptathlon.

In total, the Owls will have 22 athletes competing in 11 events.

Last time out, Cal Abdulky claimed his second weight throw title of the season at the Robert Platt Invite. Gus Gannon also had a tremendous showing with a second-place finish in the 3000m, while also finishing third in the mile. Gannon's time of 4:05.03 in the mile ranks sixth all-time at Rice.

Christian Edgar was also able to make the finals of the 60m hurdles, where he finished sixth. His time of 7.96s also ranks sixth all-time at Rice.
