Rice Sees Strong Showing at A&M

COLLEGE STATION – The Rice men's track and field team set several personal best marks this weekend at the Charlie Thomas Invite hosted by Texas A&M. The team saw four athletes enter/improve on their Rice all-time top-10 marks.
Gus Gannon had another spectacular weekend, improving on his personal best mile mark set last weekend by three seconds. His mark of 4:02.45 jumps him into second all-time for the event, surpassing Jon Warren.
Connor McGrath also set a personal best in the 400m to move into the top-10 for the event, where he sits ninth.
Christian Edgar finished third in the 60m hurdles setting a personal best to improve his mark of sixth all-time in Rice history.
In the weight throw, Cal Abdulky continued to shine, finishing fourth with a throw of 19.9m. Daniel Sowell set a personal best to crack the top-10 list at Rice, moving into seventh with a throw of 17.95m.
