HOUSTON – The Rice women's cross country team is set to take part in the University of Arkansas' Chile Pepper Festival Saturday morning in Fayetteville, Ark. The women's 5k races is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Last time out, the Owls secured back-to-back years as the team champion at the 49^th annual Rice Invitational, with junior Alex Gobran leading the way with the individual title. Miranda Schriver and Daphne Mayer were right behind in second and third place.

Brooklyn Crow (fifth) and Cici Calhoun (sixth) rounded out the top five finishers for the Owls.

In the USTFCCCA regional polls, Rice currently sits seventh in the rankings.
