Crow Finishes Second to Lead Owls at Rice Invite
9/11/2026 9:48:00 PM | Women's Cross Country
HOUSTON - The Rice women's cross country team was led by Brooklyn Crow's second-place finish to lead the Owls to the team title at the 2026 Rice Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Post-Meet Reaction: Head Cross Country Coach Hanna Peterson:
"Our first race of the season started on a great note. The team went out and did exactly what was asked of them, to walk away knowing they gave it their all, and they did just that. They got out hard, executed the race plan really well, and fought all the way through the finish. This is exactly the kind of tone we need to set for the rest of the season."
Crow led the way for Rice with a time of 14:41.4, while freshman Emma Rohrbach was fourth with a time of 14:46.8.
Another Rice freshman, Katherine McNulty, finished in sixth, while Amelia Shoemaker and Niamh Collins rounded out the Rice top five in sixth and eighth.
The Owls captured a third consecutive team title at the Rice Invitational.
