Men’s Basketball Begins Road Stretch at South Florida

Scouting Rice
• Rice enters Tuesday's game with an 11-9 record, including 2-5 in the AAC. The Owls are looking to snap a five-game losing streak after falling to Tulane on Saturday, 82-71.
• Rice is led by graduate guard Trae Broadnax, who leads the team with 12.8 points per game and 4.2 assists, which is fourth in the American. He's also second on the team with 5.9 rebounds.
• Junior forward Caden Powell is second on the team with 9.5 points per game while grabbing a team-high 7.0 rebounds, good for 10th in the AAC. He's also third in the league in field goal percentage, connecting on 61.7% from the floor, and is ninth with 1.2 blocks per game.
• Junior Denver Anglin is scoring 9.4 points. He is connecting on 40.4% from three, good for seventh in the conference, while hitting 85.2% from the free throw line.
• Graduate student guard/forward Kellen Amos is averaging 8.8 points and 2.8 assists, while grabbing 3.4 rebounds per game.

• Redshirt sophomore guard Jimmie Williams and graduate guard Brandon Stroud are both averaging 7.9 points. Williams is also ninth in the league with 1.6 steals.
• South Florida is averaging 76.1 points per game and is allowing 73.0.

Rice-South Florida Series History
• Rice and South Florida will meet for the only time this year and just the fourth time overall.

• Last year, the Bulls swept the season series, winning 81-73 in Tampa before earning a 69-65 win in Houston.
• This is just the second meeting in Tampa.
• The first game came in the third-place game of the 1997 San Juan Shootout, with the Bulls taking a 49-46 victory.
