Men’s Basketball Announces American Conference Schedule

HOUSTON — The American Conference has announced its Men's Basketball league schedule, the conference office announced on Wednesday morning.
For the first time since 2020-21, Rice will begin the conference season at home when it hosts Temple on Dec. 30. The Owls are opening their conference slate at home for just the second time in the last six years.
The Owls then play five of their next seven games on the road, beginning with a Jan. 3 date at Tulane before heading to Memphis on Jan. 6.
Rice returns home on Jan. 10 to face North Texas before traveling to Philadelphia, Pa., for the second game against Temple on Jan. 17. Rice then plays the first of two games against UTSA at home on Jan. 20.
The Owls begin a two-game Florida trip in Boca Raton on Jan. 23 versus Florida Atlantic. They close the trip on Jan. 26 in Tampa at American Conference champion South Florida.
Rice begins a two-game homestand on Jan. 30 against Tulane. It closes on Feb. 4 versus East Carolina.
Rice then travels to San Antonio for the second of two games against UTSA on Feb. 7.
The Owls will host a pair of games, first against Tulsa on Feb. 11 before a Valentine's Day battle versus Wichita State on Feb. 14.
For the third straight season, Rice will make a two-game trek through North Carolina, beginning Feb. 17 in Greenville at East Carolina. They then will take on Charlotte on Feb. 20.
Rice finishes its home slate with a pair of games, beginning on Jan. 25 against UAB. It then hosts its annual Senior Day on Feb. 28 versus Florida Atlantic.
Rice closes the regular season on Mar. 7 when it heads to Denton to face North Texas.
The American Conference Tournament takes place Mar. 10-14 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla.
Game times and television selections will be announced at a later date.
