Men’s Basketball Releases Schedule for Scout Jacksonville Classic

HOUSTON — The Scout Jacksonville Classic has announced its tournament schedule, Wednesday morning. The Owls will play three games in four days, Nov. 22-25.
Rice begins play on Nov. 22 against Lamar at 4 p.m. CT. It will be the 32nd meeting between the teams, but the first at a neutral site. They last met in 2019 in Beaumont.
Two days later, the Owls will face UIC at 12:30 p.m. CT, in the first meeting between the schools.
Rice closes the tournament on Nov. 25 when it takes on Ohio at 10 a.m. CT. The Bobcats won the only other meeting, 65-64, in the first round of the 2022 College Basketball Invitational.
The Scout Jacksonville Classic, one of the nation's premier early-season college basketball tournaments, will launch its 5th Annual Men's Basketball event from November 22–25, 2026, at Florida State College in Jacksonville. This year's event will feature a tremendous field of 7 Division I programs, with each program playing between one and three games and bringing high-level competition and fantastic early-season match-ups. The field consists of multiple postseason participants from 2026. The 2026 Scout Jacksonville Classic field includes UIC (Missouri Valley Conference), Lamar (Southland), Miami University (MAC), New Mexico State (Conference USA), Ohio (MAC), Rice (American) and Robert Morris (Horizon).
