
Men’s Golf Announces 2024-25 Schedule

HOUSTON, Texas — Rice men's golf coach Justin Emil announced the release of the 2024-25 schedule Friday morning.
The 12-tournament schedule will see the Owls compete in seven different states and two countries, including three tournaments in Texas.
"We are thrilled to announce our 2024-25 tournament schedule," said Emil. "Our guys are hungry for the competition and this schedule provides every opportunity for us to qualify for the NCAA postseason."
For the fourth straight year, Rice will open the season at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate, Sept. 8-10 in Choudrant, La., and hosted by former Conference USA foe Louisiana Tech.
A week later, the Owls will travel to Fort Collins, Colo., for the Ram Masters Invitational (Sept. 17-18), hosted by Colorado State. It is the first time since 2018-19 that Rice will participate in the tournament.
Rice hosts its first of three tournaments, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, when it hosts the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Westwood Golf Club in Houston.
The Owls stay in Texas when it travels to Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational, Oct. 6-8, hosted by SMU. It is the first time since 2021-22 that they will participate in the event.
The fall slate concludes on Oct. 26-27, when its travels to Loxley, Ala., for the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational, hosted by South Alabama.
Rice begins the spring campaign on Feb. 10-11, with its second home tournament, the Bentwater Intercollegiate, at Bentwater Country Club in Montgomery, Texas. The Owls co-host the tournament with Sam Houston.
A week later, Rice travels to Laredo, Texas for the legendary Border Olympics, Feb. 17-18. It is the sixth straight season that the Owls will participate in the event. Last year, the Owls tied for second.
Rice then begins a stretch of three tournaments in three weeks when it heads to Cabo, Mexico for one of the premier college golf events on the calendar, the Cabo Collegiate (Mar. 2-4). Rice then returns to Louisiana for the Louisiana Classics, Mar. 10-11, in Lafayette.
The Owls close their stretch with the All-American Intercollegiate (Mar. 17-18) at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble. Rice co-hosts the event with Houston.
Rice closes the regular season schedule on Apr. 12-13 when it travels to Bryan for the Aggie Invitational.
The Owls begin postseason play at the American Athletic Championship, Apr. 21-23, played at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
NCAA Regionals take place May 12-14 at campus sites, with Texas hosting the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif., May 26-31.
The Owls return eight members from last year's team, including seniors Raghav Chugh and Blake Benson.
