
Rice Closes Out Regular Season at UH

HOUSTON – The Rice men's track and field team wrapped up the regular season with several to finishes Friday at the Tom Tellez Invitational at the University of Houston.
Gus Gannon shined on the track, breaking the meet record in the 1500m while also winning the race. Elliot Metcalf was right behind, taking second in the race.
Matt Kumar set another personal best in the pole vault, clearing 5.30m.
Ese Amata claimed the high jump event title, while Vincent Arousell and Patrick Elizondo finished third and sixth, respectively.
