Golf Closes Play at Hoosier Collegiate

Bloomington, Ind. — The Rice Golf team finished its regular season at the Hoosier Collegiate.
The Owls closed in 11th-place, shooting a 311-320 to finish at +70.
Sophomore Lukas Boandl tied for 13th-place at +9, finishing with rounds of 75-74. It was his second Top 20 finish of the year and the fourth of his career.
Freshman Reggie Zhu closed with rounds of 75-81 to finish in a 35th-place tie at +16. Fifth-year senior Jay Kirchdorfer tied for 58th-place at +21 after closing with an 80-82.
Freshman Jaivir Pande and senior Blake Benson tied for 75th-place at +28. Pande shot 82-79 while Benson finished 81-83.
Junior Raghav Chugh was disqualified for the second and third rounds for a misunderstanding of the rules.
Host Indiana won the team title at +15, 17 strokes in front of second-place Michigan State and Notre Dame. Southern Illinois' Edouard Cereto took home medalist honors at -1, one stroke in front of Indiana's Noah Gillard.
