Men’s T&F Closes Regular Season at UH and Boston

HOUSTON – The Rice men's track and field team had several top finishes in the team's final two meets of the regular season this weekend at UH's Howie Ryan Invitational and the David Hemery Valentine Invite at Boston University.
Cal Abdulky and Shaun Kerry provided a 1-2 punch in the weight throw, while Ese Amata grabbed the event title in high jump. Matt Kumar had a second-place showing in pole vault, while Jorge Hinojosa also took second in shot put.
Over at Boston University, Andrew Murray had a great showing in the 3,000-meter run, finishing second in the race.
