Men’s T&F to Compete at New Mexico Collegiate Classic

HOUSTON – The Rice Owls men's track & field team continues the 2024 season in Albuquerque for the New Mexico Collegiate Classic this weekend.
In total, the Owls will have 14 athletes competing in eight events. Rice will be one of 66 teams competing this weekend in New Mexico, including Louisville, Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others.
Last time out Ese Amata tied the school record in high jump with a clearance of 2.18 meters at the Robert Platt Invitational. Amata, Cal Abdulky (weight throw) and Elliot Metcalf (mile) all took event titles last weekend at UH.
