Men’s Basketball Opens Nassau Championship against Hofstra

HOUSTON — Rice will make its first international trip since 2019 when it travels to Nassau, Bahamas, for the Nassau Championship. The Owls will play three games in three days against Hofstra, Arkansas State, and Iona, Nov. 29-Dec. 1. All games will be streamed at FloCollege.

• Rice enters Friday night's contest with a 5-1 record. The Owls have won four straight after defeating Houston Christian on the road last Friday, 61-58.
• The Owls are led by graduate guard Trae Broadnax, the reigning American Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Broadnax leads the team with 13.8 points per game and 4.3 assists, which is fourth in the American. He's also second on the team with 5.7 rebounds while connecting on 50.9% from the field and 58.3% from three.
• Graduate student guard/forward Kellen Amos is averaging 10.8 points and is second on the team with 3.7 assists.
