Exhibition Season Opens Friday with Blinn

First pitch at 5:30
Rice will host the first of two fall baseball exhibition games on Friday when the Owls welcome Blinn College to Reckling Park, with the first pitch set for 5:30 p.m.
The Owls and Buccaneers are scheduled to play 12 innings with J.D. McCracken getting the starting nod. Tucker Alch, Tom Vincent, Cornell grad transfer Von Baker, Reed Gallant, and Jack Ben-Shoshan are set to follow McCracken, with Matt Zatopeck, Matthew Rheaume, and Marco Fuentes in line to follow in addition to additional members of the pitching staff.
The is no admission charge to Friday's exhibition, which is one of several events on campus as part of Rice's 2024 Alumni Reunion and Homecoming, including the Owls' home volleyball match against Charlotte at 6 p.m. and the annual high school football game between St. John's and Kinkaid School. Parking in the campus lots is $10.
The Owls conclude their fall exhibition schedule next week when they host McClennan Junior College at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, November 8.
