Men’s Basketball Faces South Florida in Nationally-Televised Tilt

HOUSTON — Rice goes back on the road this Friday, Jan. 12, when it travels to Tampa, Fla., to face South Florida. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally-televised by ESPNU.

Scouting Rice
• Rice enters Friday night's game with a 6-9 record, and 0-2 in the American Athletic Conference. The Owls are looking for their first AAC victory after falling to UTSA in overtime last Saturday, 89-82.
• Rice is led by fifth-year senior guard Travis Evee, who is scoring 16.9 points per game, good for third in the American. He's adding 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals while placing fifth in the league in free throw percentage (.843) and ninth in three-pointers made per game (2.1).
