
Golf Duo Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars

HOUSTON, Texas — Golfers Jack Diamond and Harrison Hineline were named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
Diamond averaged a career-best 75.75 strokes per round while recording three rounds of par or better, including firing a season-best 71 three times. The Houston native earned his best career finish at the Sam Houston Dual Match, tying for third-place. His top tournament finish came a week later at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic where he tied for 22nd-place.
Hineline was third on the team with a 74.74 stroke average while tying for second with eight rounds of par or better. He had three rounds in the 60's, including a season-low 68 in the second round of the Bentwater Intercollegiate, helping him to a season-best tied for 14th-place finish.
