HOUSTON - The Rice men's track and field team heads to San Antonio this weekend for the 2022 Conference USA Outdoor Championships, which will run Thursday-Sunday at the Park West Athletics Complex, hosted by UTSA.

The meet kicks off with the heptathlon on Thursday. Field events will take place early in the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday. All four days of competition will be streamed on CUSAtv.

The Owls, who will have 30 total athletes competing, are currently ranked No. 9 in the USTFCCCA South Central Region and second in C-USA. Rice holds four of the top marks in Conference USA this season; Grant Levesque (Decathlon-7219 pts), Alex Slinkman (Pole Vault-5.30m), Nick Hicks (Hammer Throw-62.60m), and James McNaney (Javelin-66.17m).
